Dirty Tears

This is a photo of my younger sister, Aleea. I didn't know if were supposed to title it so I did; it's called "Dirty Tears."

Aside form being a bit creepy, I thought that this was a pretty good photograph. The use of black worked well, but I have the idea that composition was a little odd. Other than that, I liked the camera distance and angle. Both of those gave a lot of depth into the main idea of the image.

Kayla this picture is really powerful. It completely contrasts the picture of my little sister. I love how it is only a picture of her and a blank wall, it causes us to only focus on her. When I see this picture it oddly reminds me of the Holocaust because there were so many innocent little children who were hurt. Although adults think that kids have no problems, this picture really shows that horror can be visible to anybody.

I really like this picture. The use of the flat angle and the close-up make her emotion more real, and intense. When I see this picture my eyes are drawn to her eyes, because they're bright. I think this also intensifys the emotion. I've been talking about the emotion but I haven't identified it yet. The emotion to me is something urgent, like she's trying to tell me something. She has obviously been in pain. So it makes me want to believe what she is about to say to me. But on the other hand, she also looks a tiny bit hostile. So if you add the urgency and the hostility I would say the overall emotion is hard to describe but the best way to describe it would be something inbetween anger and innocence.
